Lucille Croom Anderson, age 87, of Currie passed from her earthly life to her eternal rest on February 21, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 26, 1925 in Pender County and was the daughter of the late Dewey and Mildred Arlene Anderson Croom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major O. Anderson and sons, Julian Ray Anderson and James Anderson.

Lucille is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Major E. and Onnie Anderson; step-granddaughter, Darlene Fisby and many extended family and friends.

Lucille was devoted to her family who she dearly loved. She had a kind heart, warm smile and feisty sense of humor. Cherished and happy memories of Lucille will remain in our hearts.
