Lucille Pierce Rivenbark, 96, a gracious and loving Christian lady passed from her earthly life Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

She was born September 25, 1929 in Pender County, the daughter of Roosevelt Pierce and Mary Groves Rivenbark. In addition to her parents Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Troy William Rivenbark; son Ronald M. Rivenbark; and sisters, Jean Cooper and Marie Powell; grandsons, Michael Todd Rivenbark and Timothy William Rivenbark.

Lucille is survived by her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Swinson Rivenbark; grandson, Chris Rivenbark (Jennifer); great grandchildren, Sabrina, Christian, Eric, and Jasmine; seven great great grandchildren; brother, Dennis Rivenbark (Vickie); sister, Bernice Turner; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a faithful long time member of Forest Hills Baptist Church.

Lucille was an extraordinary woman of God whose resounding faith and love of family was unmatched. Her brightly shining light often served as a guide to those around her. Those that knew Lucille will always remember her passion for growing beautiful flowers and keeping an immaculate home and yard. Lucille loved all of her family, especially her great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, who brought her much joy. Lucille’s presence in our lives will truly be missed.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2026 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Chaplain Alex Miller will conduct the service.

Burial will follow in Riverview.
