Lynne Williard Edwards, age 55, of Willard, NC passed from this earthly life into her eternal rest on Wednesday, June 28, 2017.

She was born on December 18, 1961 in Guildford County, NC and was the daughter of Albert "A.D." and Ola Mae Williard of Graham, NC.

Surviving, in addition to her loving parents, is her devoted children, Jessica Edwards of Wallace, Kaley Edwards of Burgaw and Garret Edwards of Willard; brother, Albert Carlton Williard and wife, Carol of Graham; niece, Lynette Whitt and husband, Adam and their children, Preston and Jake; nephew, Jason Williard and wife, Shayna and their son, Chase; and numerous family and friends that loved Lynne dearly.

Lynne graduated from North West Guilford High School in 1980 and continued her education at Greensboro College until she graduated in 1985 with a BA degree. She begin her teaching career as a Educational Diagnostician and later she taught special needs children. Her last teaching job was at Trask High School.

Lynne was a loving mother and caring daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved music, her children and was a great lover of animals. She was the choir director at Parkwood Baptist Church for many years. Lynne loved teaching and she loved the children she taught. Lynne will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
