Lynwood Wilson Moore, age 69, of Wilmington, NC passed away March 30, 2023.

He was born February 11, 1954 in Wilmington NC, to the late Elwood Wilson Moore and Lillian Rose Whitman Moore.

Lynwood loved and appreciated the beauty of outdoors, and enjoyed hunting wild game. For many years, he was kind and loving to his wife Nancy, and her children. He was especially happy to be involved in the children's activities during their teenage years. Until his retirement, his life's work was spent in the capacity of security; including the physical protection of his family and the property of many local businesses, as well as insuring a safe environment of some local communities. He had an express interest in military history, and an extensive knowledge of most any era and type of weaponry.

Lynwood is survived by his wife, Nancy Moore; stepchildren, Jeffery Ivey, Rebecca Soyars (Todd), and Rachel Moss (Randy); brother, Elwood Stroud; sister, Linda Evans; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
