Mable Giddings Bradshaw, 95, of Rose Hill left this earthly life for her eternal one with Christ on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from Quinn Hospice Care Center in Kenansville, NC.
She was born July 28, 1919 in Sampson County; the daughter of the late Frank Festus Giddings and Martha Jane Best Giddings. She was predeceased by her husband, George W. "Buck" Bradshaw; her son, George Bradshaw; brothers, Walter Giddings, Arthur Giddings, and Hubert Giddings; and daughter-in-law, Dolores Bradshaw.
Surviving to cherish Mable's memory is her daughter, Martha B. Ramsey and husband, Dennis Dowell of Wendell; her son, Joe Bradshaw of Cary; daughter-in-law, Pat Bradshaw of Rose Hill; grandchildren, Dee Dee Kamp and husband, Ryan; Franklin Ramsey and wife, Leslie; Clayton Bradshaw and wife, Amy; Troy Bradshaw and wife, Christina; great grandchildren, T.J. Kamp, Koen Kamp, Lindsey Kenney, Blake Medlin, Colton Ramsey, Tyler Bradshaw, Mable Lynn Bradshaw, and Earl Bradshaw; great-great grandchild Alice Kenney, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mable was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She found great satisfaction in the simple things of life. Her love of Christ expressed itself through serving others whether family or friends. She was a diligent homemaker who with a generous spirit filled her home with love and good food. Mable was a friendly, hard working woman who enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing and baking. Being a good neighbor and friend remained a daily part of her life. Mable will surely be missed, but precious memories of her remain in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
A Service of Dedication and Resurrection, and Celebration for the life of Mable will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Rose Hill United Methodist Church. Family will greet friends and relatives immediately after the service. A private graveside service will be held at Fussell Cemetery in Rose Hill.
The family extends heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff and residents of Rosemary Rest Home for their care, friendship, and love for Mable.
