Obituary

Macy "Pat" Lanier Bryant of Wallace left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Friday, June 19, 2015 from Lower Cape Fear Hospice.

Pat was born January 18, 1932 in Duplin County and was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mildred Jones Lanier. She is also predeceased by her devoted husband, Amos L. "A.L." Bryant, Jr. and brother, Ward Lanier.

Surviving are her three sons, Gerald Bryant and wife, Marlene of Surf City, Gene Bryant and wife, Libby of Magnolia and Glenn Bryant and wife, Lynne of Wallace; her daughter, Ginger Heath and husband, Tony of Wallace; grandchildren, Stephanie Teachey and husband, Jason, Ashley Lovette and husband, Barrett, Laura Burton and husband, Jonathan, Chris Jones and wife, B.J., Robbie Bryant and Chad Heath; six great grandchildren, Macy, Addison, Jillian, Ashley, Wesley and Brandon and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pat, as she is affectionately known, was a devoted wife and caring mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed the simplest of things in life but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. With a kind heart and a love for others, Pat was a true friend who was always ready to help when needed. She was a strong, courageous and yet gentle woman who brought out the good in all those who were near and dear to her. She will surely be missed but cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved Pat.
