Edrene, as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, was a faithful, caring wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She found great joy in the simplest of things but her greatest joy was family. Being a people's person, Eldrene never met a stranger and one was not in her presence long before you knew how proud she was of her "boys". She enjoyed southern gospel singing, especially her favorite group, The Anchormen and spending time with her grandson, who was the apple of her eye. Being active in her church through the years, she was blessed with a love for the Lord and a faith that took her through an extended illness. Eldrene's family is grateful to God for her life, for your friendship and for your kindness and prayers.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be sent to Mr. O.J. Carter, 214 S. Graham Street, Wallace, NC 28466 to help defray medical expenses.
