Margaret Elizabeth Corbett, age 78, of Garner, NC died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Rex Health Care in Raleigh.

She was born April 7, 1930 in Bladen County and was the daughter of the late Jefferson Davis Corbett and Florence Barnhill Corbett. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Davis Corbett.

Ms. Corbett worked in NC State Government for many years prior to her retirement.

Surviving are sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Adger Carroll of Florence, SC and one nephew, Aubrey Carroll of Florence, SC.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Black River Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Ivanhoe, NC.

The family will receive friends in Black River Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall on Saturday immediately following the graveside service.
