Margaret Christine Brown, 89, of Wilmington, NC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on January 26, 1931, in Pender County to the late Jacob Willetts and Mittie (Carroll) Willetts.

Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Zennie Ernest Brown, son Ernest James Brown, three brothers L.J. Willetts, Jake Jr. Willetts, and LeRoy Willetts; three sisters Mary Pierce, Maida Shepard, and Doris Williams

Margaret is survived by her son David Earl Brown and his wife Leslie, her daughter Debbie Lawhorne and her husband Butch, and her daughter Donna Rutkowski and her husband Mark, sister Louise Corbett and her grandchildren, Kenneth Lawhorne, Kristen Lawhorne, step granddaughter Missy Lawhorne Hutsell-Tigert, and step grandson, Christopher Williams.

Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was loved and cherished by family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her and we feel blessed to have had her in our lives.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington, NC with Pastor Tom Male officiating.
