Obituary

Margaret Frances Sholar Cottle, 83, of Wallace left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Friday, January 18, 2013 from Vidant Health Care, Greenville.

She was born September 23, 1929 in Duplin County; the daughter of the late Joseph Bland and Ada Henderson Sholar. She was also predeceased by her brother, Thomas Sholar.

Surviving is her devoted husband of 61 years, Franklin Cottle of the home; her loving children, Vicki C. Dixon and husband, Billy and Chris Cottle and wife, Sabrina, all of Wallace; grandchildren, Joshua Cottle and Lauren Cottle; sister, Mary Brown and husband, Marshall of Knightdale; brother, J.R. Cavenaugh and wife, Grace of Magnolia and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Margaret was a loving wife and caring mother, grandmother and sister who loved her family dearly. She was a southern lady who loved collard greens, southern gospel music and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed making people laugh and would always brighten other's lives with her witty and lovable personality. Margaret will surely be missed, but her family is grateful to God for her life and are comforted knowing she has a much fuller one now that she is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with Pastor Rodney Bonham and Pastor Bobby Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park, Watha.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon on Monday, one hour prior the service at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home and other times at Franklin and Margaret's home.
