Margaret Wiley Croom Gurganious, age 86, passed from this earth to her Heavenly home in God's care on Wednesday, October 8, 2008.

She was born March 15, 1922 in Sampson County and was the daughter of the late Robert E. Lee Wiley and Viola Frances Carroll Wiley White. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Croom in 1983.

Surviving are her husband of twenty years, William Albert Gurganious; brother, Robert H. Wiley of Durham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Croom was a faithful member of Rocky Point Free Will Holiness Church for over fifty years where she served the Lord in many capacities.

Margaret loved the Lord, her family and her friends. Being a lady of many talents, she excelled in sewing, cooking and gardening. Margaret was soft spoken with a beautiful smile and gentle laughter, always speaking only of good things about others. She will long be remembered for her Christian spirit, warm heart and her thoughtfulness of others. Fond memories of Margaret will forever remain in our hearts.

Graveside funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Porter Rd. in Currie with The Rev. Lewis Wescott officiating.

The family will receive friends at the graveside one hour prior to the funeral service and at other times will be at the Gurganious home in Currie.
