A kind and gentle soul, a gracious and loving lady, Margie Eleanor Lewis Jones, entered her heavenly home from the home of her son in Clayton on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the age of 84.

She was born December 29, 1937 to Willie L. Lewis and Emmie Walters Lewis living most all of her blessed life in Pender County.

In addition to her parents Margie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Kenneth Walton Jones; son, Jeffrey "Jeff" Dean Jones; granddaughter, Angela Kocsi; sister, Dorothy Baffo; brothers, Alfred, Norman, Milton, and Wilbert Lewis.

Margie is survived by her daughter, Nancy Jones Kocsi; son, Kenneth Farmer Jones; grandchildren, Rebecca Kocsi, Jennifer Kocsi and her fiancée, Jimmy Jennings, Ryan Jones and Matthew Jones; brother, Kenneth Lewis and wife, Nelda; sisters, Irene Baldwin, Evelyn Caison, and Vivian Kirby; sister-in-law, Eva Jones; many nieces, and nephews.

For many years Kenneth and Margie were members of Burgaw United Methodist Church and in recent years attended Watha United Methodist Church. Margie was a helpmate to Kenneth in all his years of farming. She also worked at Pender Adult Services for 14 years.

Margie loved her family and was a devoted mother and excellent grandmother to her beloved grandchildren. Margie's sweet, sweet spirit, gentle smile, and her many flower gardens will be remembered.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Riverview Memorial Park with The Reverend William Hill Pearsall conducting the service.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the graveside service.
