Maria Lynn Beauchemin, 56, of Fairfax, VT passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born April 9, 1960 in Burlington, VT, the daughter of late Bernard and Paulita Lefebvre. She was preceded in death by brothers, Richard and John Lefebvre.

Maria is survived by her husband of 31 years, Bradley Joseph Beauchemin; daughter, Randi Pyne and husband Larry; granddaughter, Emily Pyne; sisters, Vickie Karnes and husband Steve, and Shirley Stephens and husband Paul; brothers, Bernard Lefebvre and wife Janet, and Donald Lefebvre and wife Sue; many nieces and nephews and special friend, Shea Andrews.

She worked at Burlington News Agency for several years and then found her true calling as a childcare provider. In the 30 plus years that she ran her daycare she touched many lives and each and everyone will have special memories of her fun, energetic and kind nature.

Maria was an avid gardener and loved anything to do with the outdoors; hiking, 4 wheeling, fishing and camping. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family, especially her granddaughter, Emily. She will be dearly missed by all that were fortunate to know her.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church Cemetery in Burgaw, NC on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11:00 am with Father Roger Malonda conducting the service.
