Marilyn C. Craver, age 79, of Castle Hayne passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 12, 1937 in Dillon, South Carolina the daughter of the late George Arnonld Chestnut and Netha Grice Chestnut. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Frank Craver; two sons, Ricky Craver and Larry Craver and a brother, Buddy Chestnut.

Marilyn loved to go shopping, enjoyed eating out and traveling and spending time in the company of her family and good friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Danny Craver and wife Stephanie; four grandchildren, Brandon Craver (Elizabeth), Heather Taylor, Mandy Mason, and Josh Craver; two great-grandchildren, Bailey Craver and Madison Craver; brothers, Lee Chestnut and Cicil A. Chestnut and wife Jo-Ann; sisters, Carolyn Skipper and Margaret Eady; close friends, Barabara Dallmer and May Craven; and numerous other loving family.

The family will receive friends from 6PM until 8PM Friday, February 3, 2017 at Quinn McGowen Wilmington Chapel.

A funeral service will be held 2 PM Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Quinn McGowen Wilmington Chapel with Reverend Butler Anderson Officiating.
