Obituary

Marilyn Faye Bonham Mobley, 72, of Sneads Ferry, left this life for her eternal rest on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from Spring Arbor Assisted Living in Wilmington.

She was born February 9, 1942 in Duplin County; the daughter of the late Henry Harlee and Fannie Williamson Bonham. She is also predeceased by her devoted husband of 53 years, Johnny L. "J.L." Mobley and brother, David Earl Bonham.

Mrs. Mobley was a member of Sneads Ferry Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving are her brothers, Frank Bonham and wife, Glenna of Williamsburg, Virginia and Robert "Bob" Bonham and wife, Sarah of Castle Hayne; sister, Mable Thigpen of Burgaw; sister-in-law, Alice Bonham of Rose Hill and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Faye was a devoted wife and caring sister who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed drawing, playing the piano and organ and taking care of her home. Being a diligent homemaker and immaculate housekeeper, Faye filled her home with love and welcomed all who entered. She was a good neighbor and friend who were loved by all who knew her. Faye will surely be missed but cherished memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with the Reverend Christopher Clark officiating.

Burial will follow in Clay Hill Cemetery, NC Hwy 11, Rose Hill, NC.

Casketbearers will be Benjamin Bonham, Robert Bonham, John Bonham, David Bonham, Bobby Burn and Vance Thigpen.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, one hour prior the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Bob and Sarah Bonham.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Spring Arbor Assisted Living for their kindness and compassionate care they gave to Faye during her seven month stay with them.
