Marilyn Gail Rackley, age 70, passed away peacefully from her earthly life Sunday, February 18, 2024 at her home.

She was born January 17, 1954 in Burgaw, the daughter of Lewis Heber Rackley and Dorothy Davis Rackley. In addition to her parents Marilyn was preceded in death by Benjamin Burton and their son, Jamie Earl Burton; brother, Monty Rackley; and stepmother, JoAnn Rackley.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Kursten Cofer; granddaughter, Regan Cofer; grandson, Hunter Burton; sister, Judy Singleton (Dennis); brother, Carl Rackley (Agnes Ann); sister-in-law, Marilyn B. Rackley; many extended family members and friends.

Marilyn worked over 30 years in construction, working many of those years as a pipefitter at DuPont and also at  Lowes Home Improvements.

Marilyn was a sharing, caring lady who loved and cared for her family.

A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with Rev. Merrell McKoy conducting the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
