Marjorie "Midge" Elizabeth Whitcomb, age 65, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

She was born on October 30, 1955 in Nashua, NH to the late William Lyman Roberts and Nancy Jane Spann Roberts.

Midge was a devoted, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent time and was always available helping others. Midge was an avid sports fan and was always cheering on the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Patriots. She also enjoyed playing tennis and badminton, hiking and being outdoors. Midge loved to travel and go on trips to  Europe and Hawaii. She would do anything for her family and friends, and she will be dearly missed.

Midge is survived by her husband, Bruce Fred Whitcomb; sons, Ryan Whitcomb and wife, Alyssa, and Trevor Whitcomb; brother, Hugh Roberts; sister, Nancy Smith and husband, Kenneth; grandchildren, Ansley and Hudson; sister-in-law, Sherian Roberts; nieces, Erika Riese, Andria Keaney and husband, Kurt, and Jessica Roberts; and nephews, Timothy Riese, Steven Riese, and Kenneth Smith, Jr.

Midge was preceded in death by her sisters, Marcia Riese and Betsy Roberts; and brother, Bill Roberts.

A memorial visitation will be held at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 4pm to 7pm.
