Mark Anthony Layton, 41, of Willard left this earthly life for his eternal rest on Monday, August 24, 2015.

He was born December 21, 1973 in Duplin County and was the son of Ronald and Judy Ammons Sanderson of Willard.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his sons, Zachary Pickett of Penderlea and Dylan Reed Stafford of Colorado; sister, Cindy Malone and husband, Tim of Willard; grandson, Payton Pickett and numerous family and friends who loved Mark dearly.

Mark was a kind hearted young man who loved his family and friends dearly. He was talented and if he saw it, he could draw it. Not only was Mark blessed with a great talent of drawing but was blessed with turning his drawings into beautiful 'yard art'. He was a devoted son who helped his parents in the yard and around the house. He enjoyed sitting on the porch spending time with them. Mark will surely be missed but cherished memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Funeral service will be at held at 2:00pm on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel.

Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery, Wallace.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm, one hour prior the funeral on Thursday at the funeral home.
