Marsha Davis, 76, of Wilmington, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 7 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

She was born on August 8, 1946 to the late James "Junior" and Marie (Horrell) Smith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters-in-law Patsy Smith and Nancy Bone.

She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and loved her Lord.  Her main desire was for all of those she cherished to be saved so that she would be able to see them again in Heaven.  She loved her family.  She loved craft shows, working in the yard, and bowling in her earlier years.  She retired from the Department of Corrections (Wilmington Residential Facility) and also worked several years at Hodges Electric Company and F.P. Fensel Supply.

She is survived by her husband and the love of her life for 33 years, Jerry Taylor Davis; children Alan Waller (Charlene) of Concord and Jennifer LeRay (Jason) of Hampstead; stepson Greg Davis of Henderson; grandchildren Maddux Waller, Regan Waller, Ella LeRay, and Jude LeRay (who all called her "Heidi"); brother Larry Smith, niece Jamie Smith, nephew Jody Smith; her close friend Billie Phillips; her favorite four-legged friend BB; along with numerous friends, cousins, and other cherished relatives.

A Celebration of Life will begin at 11am on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Topsail Baptist Church (18885 US Hwy 17 N, Hampstead, NC 28443) to be officiated by Pastor Bryan Griffith.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside services will follow thereafter at Oleander Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Topsail Baptist Church at topsailbaptistchurch.com or Northside Baptist Church at northside.church (2501 N. College Road, Wilmington, NC  28405).
