Martha Ann Vernon Robinson, 65, passed from her earthly life on Friday, February 12, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born July 12, 1955, the daughter of the late David Earl Vernon, Sr. and Martha Blanton Vernon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dwight Wade Vernon, Sr.; and sister, Zadie Mae Hall.

Ann is survived by her husband, Edgar Charles Robinson; son, Berry Gene Long; daughters, Tammy Ann Long Piner (Tina Ferguson), Tabitha Gail Long Furr (Lester), step-children, Lisa Robinson and Bobby Robinson; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; brothers, David Earl Vernon, Jr. (Rose) and Jesse R. Vernon (Karen); many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Most important in Ann's life was her beloved family. Her passions in life were gardening, both flowers and vegetables, and her love of the many stray animals that she rescued and cared for. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, celebrating the birth of Jesus. Ann will be remembered for her Christian spirit, her warm heart and her gentle sweet smile.

Ann's last gift in her earthly life was the gift of sight to someone by her cornea donation through Miracles of Sight.

Due to current health concerns in our country and to follow Ann's request there will be no service. Do a kind deed for someone today and think of Ann and her kind and giving heart.
