Martha Griffin Fuchs Costigan, age 68, of Rocky Point died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter.

She was born November 22, 1940 in Mecklenburg County and was the daughter of the late Walter Ray and Elizabeth Harts Griffin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eugene Fuchs in 2003.

Surviving are her husband, Conrad Costigan of the home; brothers, Walter B. Griffin and his wife, Faye, and James Ray Griffin and his wife, Ann, all of Rocky Point and several nieces and nephews.

Martha loved the Lord, her family and her friends. Her gentle spirit, warm heart, generous nature and beautiful smile will always be remembered.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The Rev. Elbert Bradshaw officiating.

Burial will follow in Duplin Memorial Gardens.

Casketbearers will be James Griffin, Jr., Linwood Harts, Robbie Patterson, Paul Trotman, Rick Gordon and Scott Wiggs.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home.
