Obituary

Mary Frances Brown Brock, 75, of Wallace, left this life for her eternal rest on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from Quinn Hospice Care Center, Kenansville.

She was born on October 1, 1938 in Duplin County and was the youngest of ten children of Thomas Thurman and Bethie Pickett Brown.

Mrs. Brock was a member of Teachey Baptist Church.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 60 years, Julius C. "J.C." Brock; daughter, Ann Hibbard and husband, Peter of Tampa, Florida; son, Ronald Brock, also of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Matthew Brock, Ryan Brock and Emily Brock; sister, Virginia Cottle of Teachey and brother, Richard E. Brown and wife, Grace of Hallsville and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mary Frances was a loving wife and caring mother, grandmother and aunt. She enjoyed the simplest of things of life but her greatest joy was family. She loved beautiful flowers, especially roses. Mary Frances will surely be missed but cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with the Reverend Craig Richardson officiating.

Burial will follow at Rockfish Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, one hour prior the service at the funeral home.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Carolina East Hospice Care Center, Quinn Hospice Care Center, PO Box 887, Kenansville, NC 28349 or to Alzheimer's Association-Eastern North Carolina, 3739 National Drive, Suite 110 Raleigh NC 27612.
