Mary Ethel Chahoc, age 97, of Wilmington passed away peacefully Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Northchase Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born August 17, 1919 in Stanley County, North Carolina the daughter of the late

Walter Tyson Boysworth and Ethel Jane Swaringen Boysworth. She is preceded in death by her sons, Clarence Clifford Chahoc Jr. and David Keith Chahoc; three brothers and one sister; and step grandchild, David Beverly.

Mary was a member of Randolph Methodist Church in Norwood, North Carolina. She was a devoted mother and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren which brought her much delight. Mary loved anything to do with the Cardinal.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ed Chahoc and wife Sue Ann; daughter, Molly Pierce; two grandchildren, Kim Baker and Keith Chahoc; step grandchildren, Barbara Skinner, Gary Beverly, Steven Beverly, William Pierce and Arron Pierce Jr.; great grandchildren Allison Baker, Caroline Baker, Emma Baker and Samuel David Chahoc; 6 step great grandchildren; devoted care giver, Elizabeth Chahoc O'Quinn; and numerous other family and friends.

A visitation will be held at 1 PM Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Quinn McGowen Wilmington Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Shipyard Boulevard in Wilmington.
