Mary Lupton Batson Collins, age 69, of Atkinson passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at her home.

She was born September 21, 1937 in New Bern and was the daughter of the late Curtis E. Lupton, Sr. and Pattie Dawson Lupton.

Mrs. Collins was a charter member of Wrightsboro United Methodist Church and was previously owner and operator of Mary's Seafood in Atkinson.

Surviving are her husband, Herbert H. Collins of the home; daughter, Kim Batson Mintz and husband, Loyd of Wilmington; son, Donald Batson, Jr. and wife, Gail of Currie; step-daughter, Brandi Anderson and husband, Parker of Jacksonville, Fl; grandsons, Chris Batson and Michael Harrison; step-grandchildren, Amy Mintz, Nikki Mintz, Aubrey Anderson, Crystal Braizer, Landon Anderson and Channing Michael; great granddaughter, Hannah Belle Harrison; brothers and sisters-in-law, Curtis and May Lupton, Jr. of Jasper, Gene and Mona Lupton of Kinston and Donnie and Nancy Lupton of New Bern; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Richard Dunn of Ernul, Bonnie and Elmer Davis of Loxley, AL and Terry and Doug Johnson of Tucson, AZ.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Burgaw and at other times will be at 1217 Point Caswell Rd, Atkinson.

The memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with Pastor Vernon Adams officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to Wrightsboro United Methodist Church, 3300 N. Kerr Ave., Wilmington, NC 28405.
