Obituary

Mary Jane Babson Dvorak, age 84, of Rocky Point left this life for her eternal rest on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from NorthChase Nursing and Rehabiliation Center.

She was born on February 15, 1938 in Hutchinson, Kansas; the daughter of the late Ernest and Lessie Mae Babson.  Mrs. Dvorak was also predeceased by her husband, Walter Dvorak; her daughter, Nora Jean Tyler and siblings, Terry Babson, Ernie Babson, Jimmy Babson and Helen Babson.

Jane, as she was affectionately known, is survived by her son, Daniel "Dan" Dvorak and wife, Melinda of Rocky Point; daughter, Rhonda Watson and husband, George of Texas; grandchildren, Amy Allen-Richarson, Jay Watson, Christopher Tyler, Craig Tyler, Tray Dvorak, Walter Dvorak, and Taylor Dvorak; brother, Ben Babson and wife, Janet; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved Jane dearly.

Jane was a loving mother and caring grandmother who loved her family with all her heart.  She was a simple woman who enjoyed simple things like playing BINGO and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Being a hard worker, Jane helped provide for her family while raising her children and being a great mother and wife.  She was a hair dresser, owned a restuarant and later worked for Brown & Root Industrial Company. During these working years, Jane met many friends along the way.  Jane was a small in statue but was a very strong and determined lady.  As her husband, Walter always said, "She was a "tough ole broad".  Jane will surely be missed but treasured memories of her will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Riverview Memorial Park, Watha.
