Mary Miller Murray, 85, of Burgaw passed gently from her earthly life on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the home of her son, Richard.

She was born October 18, 1930 in Duplin County, the daughter of the late John Richard Miller and Ida Heath Miller Hall. Also remembered are daughters, Linda Fussell and Janice Harrell and two grandchildren, all who preceded Mary in death.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Connie Murray; sons, Richard Murray (Nancy Croom), Larry Murray (Dawn), Frank Murray, and Raymond Murray; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Taylor, Sandra Rivenbark, and Lou Rackley; and many extended family and friends.

She was also a devoted member of Mt. Holley Baptist Church.

Many will remember Mary from the many years she worked the soda fountain at Dees Drug Store, always with a kind word and sweet smile. She was a diligent worker, wonderful cook and most of all always caring for her beloved family. Mary's sweet, sweet spirit, steadfast faith, and warm heart will always be remembered.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19, 11:00am, at English-Brown VFW Post 9161 Wallace, NC with Reverend Horace Hawes officiating.
