Mary Elizabeth Bland Randles, age 75, of Burgaw died Friday, July 18, 2008 at her home.

She was born September 5, 1932 in Arapahoe, NC, and was the daughter of Annie Green Bland of Watha and the late Jodie A. Bland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Forest A. Randles; son, Richard Randles; three sisters and three brothers.

Surviving in addition to her loving mother are her devoted family; her children, Charlotte Robinson and her husband, Hunter, of Rocky Mount, Glen Randles and his wife, Lora, of Wrightwood, California, Jodie Randles and his wife, Robin, of LaVerne, California and Dale Randles and his wife, Shirley, of Burgaw; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; brothers, David Bland of Watha, Cecil Bland and his wife, Dorothy, of Burgaw, and Billy Bland of Fayetteville; sisters, Lessie Bishop of Hope Mills, Annie Mae Bland of Burgaw, Judy Bland of Washington and Rosa Lee Sanders of Burgaw; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She created a home filled joy and sunshine where everyone was always welcome. Being an excellent cook and setting a bountiful table, Mary always had room for one more. She found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest joy was family, especially her grandchildren who she adored. All of her life Mary loved the Lord, cared for her family unceasingly, worked hard and was a friend to many. Cherished memories of Mary will forever remain in our hearts.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with the Rev. William Hill Pearsall and Mrs. Sandra Davis officiating.

Burial will follow in King Family Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Jason Randles, Tracy Mariani, Chad Randles, Cody Randles, Timothy Bishop and Ray Bland.

The family will receive friends 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
