Mary Mosley Reeves, 88, of Rocky Point passed gently from her earthly life on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Huntington Health Care. She was born January 14, 1926 in Snow Hill, the daughter of the late Frank Moseley and Mary Ellen Casteen Moseley Mathis. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert B. Reeves III.

Mary is survived by her half sisters, Frances Barts (J. W.), Joy Neigoot (Rick), and Ann Livaudais (Frank); brother, Bill Mathis (DeVonna); cousins, Nancy Craig, Ann Craig and Mary Jane Merritt; and close family friend, Wayne Ashe.

Mary was a faithful long time member of Rocky Point United Methodist Church. After graduating from high school, Mary went to work with Atlantic Coastline Railroad in Wilmington where she worked until the coastline moved to Jacksonville, Fl.

Mary was a true Southern lady filled with grace, kindness and compassion for others. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, warm heart and gentle spirit.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Bill Braswell and The Rev. John Ormond will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to Rocky Point United Methodist Church Building Fund, PO Box 6, Rocky Point, NC 28457.
