Mary Ann Dayberry Watters, 67, from Watha left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Friday, August 2, 2013 from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was faithful and active member of Penderlea Assembly of God Church as long as her health permitted.

Mary Ann was born on March 30, 1946 and she was daughter of the late Emmett and Elsie Forshee Dayberry.

Surviving are devoted husband, Billy D. Watters; children, Tonia Hunter, Bruce Gates, Dennis Gates,and Junior Wilson; step children, David Watters, Daniel Watters, Robert Watters, Cathy Feeney, Bill D. Watters, Jr.; 9 grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Fulks and Ruby Nell Wilson; brothers, Glen Dayberry, Cecil Dayberry, Gary Dayberry and Jimmy Wayne Dayberry.

Mary Ann was devoted wife and caring mother, grandmother and sister who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed the simplest things of life but her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved. Being a diligent homemaker and great cook, she filled her home with peace and love. Mary Ann loved her Lord and it was her steadfast faith in God that carried her through her illness. Mary Ann will surely be missed but cherish memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Graveside funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Riverview Memorial Park with Pastor Leo Bracken officiating.
