Mattie Ruth Woodcock Long, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 30, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband Graham Long and parents Robert and Amret Woodcock.

Mattie Ruth is survived by her daughter Dianne Long Harris, son Gene Long and wife Alison Long, grandchildren Mark Barnhill, Debbie Burns, Terry Ward, Chris Ward, Elizabeth Long and Lambert Long, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sister Judy Gore and brother Robert Linwood Woodcock.

She was a member of Springview Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church and previously owned and operated Ruth's Kitchen for 21 years. Mattie Ruth loved gospel music and sang with Promise Land.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Springview Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church with a visitation starting at 1:00 PM. Burial 11:00 AM Monday at Oleander Memorial Gardens. Reverends Lester Hunter and Lanier Furr will officiate.

Flowers or memorial contributions will be greatly appreciated to Springview Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church.
