Maude Augusta Harrell, 85, of Currie passed gently from her earthly life on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at her home.

She was born March 10, 1930 in Bladen County, the daughter of the late Eddie Lee and Marie Pridgen Corbett.

Maude is survived by her son, Eddie Alton Harrell; and dearest and faithful friends, Robert and Sheila.

She was a member of Haw Bluff Baptist Church. Maude was proud to have attended Campbell College where she enjoyed playing girls basketball.

Maude was a true Southern lady filled with grace who loved her family dearly. Having a wonderful sense of humor, she made friends easily. She loved all of God's beautiful nature and the animals that roamed the farm. The sparkle in her eyes, her gentle laughter, and her compassion for others will be remembered and greatly missed.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with the Rev. Richard Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Corbett Cemetery.
