Maurice Plante, age 76, of Hampstead passed away Wednesday, August 17 2016 at his home.

He was born Winchendon, Massachusetts on February 27, 1940 the son of the late George and Josephine Plante.

Maurice loved to spend time in his yard mowing the grass, eating ice cream with his grandchildren and walking his canine companion and snack buddy, Rocky. He retired from a long career as a machinist at Temple Stuart Furniture in Boston, MA. Maurice was a man of faith and attended All Saints Catholic Church in Hampstead, NC.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Sylvia Plante; two children; two grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.

Arrangements are in the care of Quinn McGowen Wilmington Chapel.
