Obituary

Max Kesler Rhyne, age 20, of Wilmington died Monday, June 27, 2011 at his residence.

Born on November 5, 1990 in New Hanover County, he was the loving son of Thomas and Kathleen Rhyne of Wilmington. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Oren Moore Rhyne and James Tracy, and cousin, Robbie Gasper.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his sister, Cameron Rose Rhyne of Wilmington, grandmothers, Ellen Rhyne of Charlotte and Marion Tracy of Greensboro; uncle, John Tracy; aunt, Patty Gasper and husband, Ken; aunt, Kat Rhyne; cousins, Michael Gasper (Kelly), Andy Gasper, and Laurie Simons (Scott) and numerous friends.

To share memories of Max, the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Wesleyan Chapel United Methodist Church, 10255 US Hwy 17 North, Wilmington, NC 28411.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.

For numerous years he attended Wesleyan Chapel United Methodist Church and recently has attended Port City Community Church.

Max was a talented young man who loved his family and friends dearly. He was very artistic and enjoyed working with his hands, such as drawing and working with pottery. With his pretty blue eyes and his heart of gold, Max was such a pleasure to be around. Never meeting a stranger, he loved everyone and everyone loved him. Max was committed to the BSA and proudly earned his Eagle in 2008 and was a 2009 graduate of Topsail High School. He also continued his studies at UNC-Wilmington for two years. Those who knew and loved Max were truly blessed by his faith in God and his love for his family and friends. Cherished memories of Max will remain in our hearts forever.
