Melisa Kim Parker, 48, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in Wilmington.

She was born on March 17, 1976, in Wilmington to Susan (Legaspi) Parker and the late Robert Alton Parker.

Melisa was a beautiful, loving person with a big heart. She was also a childhood cancer survivor who loved animals. Melisa was a wonderful daughter and mother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her mother, Melisa is also survived by her son, Garrett Edward Wilson.

A memorial visitation will be held 6 - 8 pm on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington.
