Melvin Troy Johnson, 68, of Willard, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at home. Melvin was born in Pender County on November 10, 1952 to the late Troy Thomas Johnson and Lena Ruth Lewis Johnson.

In addition to his parents, Melvin is preceded in death by his two sisters, Francis Rivenbark, and Susie Corn.

Melvin leaves behind his siblings, Joe Lee Johnson, Dianne Sterling (Ken), Kay Larson, Tonya Batchelor (Dennis), Bobby Johnson (Vicke), and Dewayne Johnson; special friend, Carol Konicki; and life long friends, Eddie and Janice Pate.

In Melvin's spare time, he loved to hunt and fish. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed dearly.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
