Michael Luke Bryan, affectionately known to all as Luke passed away unexpectedly on July 22, 2026 at the age of 64 leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew him. Born March 25, 1962 in Wilmington, the son of George Jewell Bryan and Barbara Crumpler Bryan both who preceded Luke in death.

Luke is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Lisa Hutcherson Bryan; sons, Dr. Ian Luke Bryan and Alex Cain Bryan; brother, George Leo Bryan (Lexanne); uncles, Robert Crumpler (Raddie) and Donald Bryan; aunt-in-law, Ruby Bryan; nephews, George Lexton Bryan and Aaron Mark Bryan (Dr. Carrie Bryan); great nieces, Callie Bryan and Madison Bryan; and many extended family members and friends. Not to be forgotten is Luke’s constant companion, Emiko “Emi.”

Luke embraced life with a generous spirit, an adventurous heart, and a deep love for the people and places that mattered most to him. His faithful blue heeler, Emiko, affectionately known as "Emi”, was his constant companion, riding beside him in his truck wherever the road led. A devoted coach for Pop Warner football, he found great joy in mentoring young athletes and encouraging them both on and off the field. While living in Key West, Florida, he fully enjoyed his short time there, finding great happiness on the water. Whether boating or simply spending time on the ocean, he was happiest surrounded by the water. With his bright, colorful shirts, adventurous spirit, and unmistakable charm, friends often joked that he was an Irish pirate at heart. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he loved Jesus, Wrightsboro Baptist Church and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. A true jack of all trades, he could fix just about anything, but his greatest gift was the way he cared for others. He was deeply grateful to the mother of his children, Melonie Bryan, for raising their boys so well, a reflection of the love he always had for his family. He was a deeply loved friend, a dependable neighbor, and someone whose kindness, generosity, and joyful presence left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date at Wrightsboro Baptist Church.
