Michael Gene Freeman, age 72 passed away, February 9, 2023, at home while visiting his family at Topsail Beach. Michael was born on November 24, 1950 and was a native of Reidsville, NC. He was the son of the late Frank and Eloise Freeman.

Michael was a restaurant owner and cook of, "Freeman Family Restaurant", where he worked most of his life. Michael developed a love and passion for the restaurant business from the influence of his mom, Eloise, who taught him the pleasures and reward from serving others.

Michael is survived by his son, Michael Freeman, his two grandchildren as well as several other nieces and nephews
