Michael Joseph Garwicki, age 68, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC.

He was born on October 21, 1953 in Douglas County, NE to Thaddius "Ted" Garwicki and the late Norma Zahnley Garwicki.

In addition to his father, Michael is survived by his daughter, Karen Solberg and husband, Roger; brother, Scott Garwicki and wife, Silvia; sisters, Sherri Still and husband, John, and Kim Vinyard; grandchildren, Teddi Lynne Solberg and Jacob Solberg; nephews, Kevin Garwicki and Bryan Garwicki; and nieces, Courtney Green and Amber Ashby.

"My father was a very happy person, always had a smile on his face and ready to have a good time. He made friends wherever he went and was always willing to lend a hand. He was full of random information that he loved to share with anyone that was willing to sit down and have a chat. I will always remember his smile, his warm heart, and how proud he was of me.
