Michael Edward Jackson, age 69, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC.

He was born on December 7, 1952 in Nottingham, England to the late Arthur Ernest Jackson and Emily Crawford Jackson.

Michael had an infectious smile and a great sense of humor.  He never met a stranger; everyone was just a friend he had not met yet. As his British friends would say, he could "talk the hind legs off a donkey". He loved to travel, and his career in the oil and gas business took him all over the globe. He had an adventurous spirit and never shied away from sampling the local cuisine, no matter how dubious it looked. One of Michael's joys in life was golf.  Until recent years he could be found on the course every Sunday having a round of golf with his buddies and sharing a laugh and a pint of his favorite ale at the 19th hole.

Michael is survived by his wife, Kathy Anne Jackson; brother, Dennis Jackson and wife, Dawn; sister-in-law, Ellen Jackson; nieces, nephews, and his extended Dodson family.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother, David Jackson.

Michael's big heart and warm smile will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Michael at his home on Sunday, March 20th, 2022.  Friends are invited to drop by from 2:00 until 4:00, at 1412 S. Moorings Drive, Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Michael may be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
