Michael Daniel Richards, 70, of Rocky Point passed from his earthly life Sunday, June 5, 2022 at his home with family at his side.

He was born April 3, 1952 in Wilmington. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester "John" FormyDuval and Dorothy Ella Richards FormyDuval.

Michael is survived by his devoted wife of forty-four years, Anne D. Richards; sons, all of which he was very proud, Michael Richards (Kassandra), Donald Richards (Angela Hart), Phillip Richards, Daniel Richards (Jennifer Pitts), and Steven Richards; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many friends.

By trade Michael was an exceptional welder with his own welding shop. He instilled his strong work ethic in his sons. Outside of work Michael enjoyed fishing and farming. It is said of Michael that he was a hard worker, loved his family and loved his country.
