Michael Angel Treto, 41, beloved son, husband, daddy, brother, and loyal friend left this earth way too soon, leaving a big hole in our hearts.

Michael was born January 11, 1978.  He passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 12, 2019 just after midnight at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his high school sweetheart who was his loving wife for 17 years, Mindy Murray Treto; daughters, Kathryn Treto, Abigail Treto and Lilly Treto; his parents, Manuel Treto and Olivia Grimaldo; brothers, Joe Treto (April), Victor Treto (Jeanine), Tony Treto (Wanda), Fabian Treto, and Stephen Treto (Jennie), sister, Brenda Treto; sisters-in-law, Wanda Treto, Tammy Murray, and Kristin Marshburn; many nieces, nephews, extended family; and numerous friends.

Michael touched the lives of everyone he came across with his generosity, humor, and unique energy. He was a talented artist and carpenter who loved to paint, draw, and build. Michael was a hard worker and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed working with his crew at Brittain Builders and playing fantasy football with his friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends 3 to 5 PM Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with memorial service following at 5:00 pm. The Rev. Debbie Murray will conduct the service.

Michael's last gift on this earth was his gift of life to others through Carolina Donor Services.

In lieu of flowers, a special account has been set up for monetary contributions to Michael's children: Kathryn, Abigail, and Lilly. Donations in honor of Michael may be deposited directly at State Employees' Credit Union to Mindy Treto's special account #62561824.
