Michelle C. Heera, age 49, of Castle Hayne passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at her home.

She was born in Hempstead, New York the daughter of Rosemary VanNess Cope and the late Charles Cope. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Brian Cope.

Michelle loved to spend time in the company of her family and with her husband on the sunny shores of the North Carolina beaches. She was a devoted and loving mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 33 years, Reynold Heera; two daughters, Alexis Odom and husband James, and Nicolle Heera and husband Wesley Errickson; five grandchildren, Trinitee, Samantha, Liam, Lennox, and Lyncoln; mother, Rosemary Cope; brother, Jason Cope and wife Melissa; three sisters, Dawn Barilli and husband Scott, Tammy Gambino and husband John, and Tiffany Lewis and husband Michael; god daughter, Sylena Lewis and numerous other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6PM until 8 PM Friday, January 13, 2017 at Quinn McGowen Wilmington Chapel.

A memorial service will be held 2 PM Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Quinn McGowen Wilmington Chapel.
