Mildred "Millie" Hall Nagy, age 93, of Burgaw, North Carolina and formerly of Oceanside, California passed peacefully from her earthly life Friday, January 13, 2023 at home.

She was born January 17, 1929 in Pender County, NC, the daughter of Macy Wells and Henry DeWitt Hall. In addition to her parents Millie was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Joseph Edward Nagy, Jr.; sister, Mary Anna Murray; and son-in-law, Ricky Rooks.

Millie is survived by daughter, Sandy Rooks with whom she had made her home for the past two years; sons, Joe "Monkey" Nagy (Rhonda) and Robert Edward Nagy; grandchildren, Tammy Wells (Keith), Ashley Milam (Justin), Sherrie Elixson, and Christy Grider (Jason); seven great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; sister, Jeanette Gilson of Charlotte; special niece, Sharon Hardison; and many extended family and friends.

Millie, being a very adaptable military wife lived many places through out the United States during Joe's military career. During her travels Millie became a proficient Bingo player and it could be mentioned that Millie enjoyed an occasional trip to Las Vegas.

Up until Millie was 90 years old she flew across country at least once a year to visit family in NC. During many of those visits she enjoyed road trips to Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and parts of North Carolina with various family and friends. Upon moving back to NC, Millie joined Haw Bluff Baptist Church in Kelly where she had made many friends over the years when visiting her daughter, Sandy.

The family will receive friends at 12:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2023 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with service beginning at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Jacob Lewis will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank Myra Lee Eakins and Vickie Colvin who lovingly helped with Millie's care and Lower Cape Fear LifeCare nurse, Sonia Swart.
