Mildred Lavern (Vern) L. Orwig, 65, of Burgaw passed away at home on March 16, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Elsie Clark as well as four siblings.

Vern is survived by her husband, David Gilbert Orwig, six siblings; her daughter, Kim; stepchildren Diane, Mark, Daniel, Chris, Steve, and Melanie and 14 grandchildren.

Vern's zest in life knew no bounds as she loved generously, cared deeply and spoke kindly. Her joy in life, her vivacious smile, and engaging laughter brought sunshine into the lives of family and friends. Vern will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be 6 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw. Following the fellowship at the funeral home there will be a time of sharing and refreshment at the Orwig residence.
