Mildred "Little Bit" Sholar Rhea, age 76, of Wallace died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at her residence.
She was born September 23, 1935 in Duplin County and was the daughter of George D. and Verline James Sholar. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Emma Jean Sholar and Madeline Conley; brothers, Roger "Red Top" Sholar, George Dunn Sholar, Jr., Harold Dean Sholar and Roger Delaine Sholar.
Surviving to cherish her memory is her son, Ed Paul Mical, Jr., David B. Mical and Teresa Mical Maready and her husband, Michael; all of Wallace; grandchildren, Cindy Jo Mical, Matthew Mical, Brittany Michelle Mical and T.J. James; four great grandchildren and brothers, Maurice Wade Sholar and wife, Iris Dean of Wallace and Gordon "Pat" Sholar and wife, Janice of Hampstead.
Mildred or "Little Bit" as she was affectionately called was a devoted mother and loving grandmother and sister. She was one who never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Fond memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved "Little Bit".
The family would like to thank and express their sincere appreciation to Continuum Hospice of Kinston and Maple Hill Pharmacy for the love and compassion they gave to Mildred and her family during her illness.
