Obituary

Millie Bradshaw Howard, age 81, of Rose Hill left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from the Brian Center of Wallace.

She was born on June 30, 1931 in Duplin County and was the daughter of the late William W. "Hap" Bradshaw, Sr. and Eva Farrell Bradshaw. She was also predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Guy Wilson Howard, her twin brother, William "Billy" W. Bradshaw, Jr. and sisters, Dolores Smith and Shirley Houts.

Millie was a member of Rose Hill Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are her loving children, Ronald Hines of Beaufort, SC, Marie H. Howard (James C.) of Pink Hill and Michael Howard (Shelly) of Rose Hill; grandchildren, Amy Jo Rivenbark, Jodie Moore (Stephen), Nicole Howard (Seth), Carmen Howard, Zachary Howard and Samantha Jones; great grandchildren, Savannah Hardison, Presley Rivenbark, Caroline Moore, Guy Howard Moore and Alliyah Lloyd and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Millie was a devoted mother and caring grandmother who loved her family dearly. She found great joy in the simplest things but her greatest joy was family, especially spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Being a diligent homemaker and great cook, Millie filled her home with love and welcomed all who entered. She was a shoulder upon whom many found comfort and support. Being a good neighbor and friend she was loved by all who knew her. Millie's friends and family are comforted knowing that she has now moved on from this life to a much fuller one with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Friday, August 31, 2012 at Rose Hill Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with the Reverend Jack Melvin and the Reverend Fred Pleasant officiating.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery on Fire Tower Road in Rose Hill.

Casketbearers will be Doug Bradshaw, Kevin Bradshaw, Donnie Kraulik, Gary Kraulik, Stevie Norman, Andy Howard and James Howard.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday evening at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace and other times at Millie's home.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be sent in Millie's honor to Rose Hill PFWB Church, 210 N. Newton Street, Rose Hill, NC 28458.
