Milton Duval Flynn, age 87, of Rose Hill died Friday, May 07, 2010 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter in Wilmington.

He was born February 17, 1923 in Pender County and was the son of the late James W. and Ida Frances Cavenaugh Flynn. He was predeceased by his son, Donald C. Flynn.

Mr. Flynn served his country honorably in Europe and North Africa while in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of West Hampton Lodge #302 A.F. & A.M. of Richmond, VA and was a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason.

Surviving is his loving wife of twenty-two years, Myra King Flynn of the home; son, Sonny Flynn and wife, Mary Carroll of Glen Allen, VA; granddaughters, Christina F. Field and Colleen Flynn; step son, William Zehrbach and wife, Darlene of Hampton, VA., step daughter, Sylvia Blanchard of Rose Hill and fiance, Ray Cherry; step grandchildren, Christopher W. Blanchard, Amy B. Bradshaw and Lora Ann Zehrbach; step great grandchildren, Kensley Blanchard, Jase Blanchard and Tyler Bradshaw; brother, Harry P. Flynn and wife, Rene of Wilmington; sisters, Marguerite Blanchard of Rose Hill and Frances Noel and husband, Sam of Wilmington; numerous nieces and nephews and dearest friends, Craig and Kathy King of Teachey.

In honor of Mr. Flynn's wishes no services are planned.
