Milton Boney Harrell, Sr, age 83, of Wilmington died March 1, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Harrell was born July 26, 1931 in Pender County to the late Eugene Boney and Evelyn Hunt Harrell. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Ella Harrell and Dorothy Davis.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Amy Dale Harrell; children Milton Harrell, Jr (Tonya) of Miami, FL, Michael Dale and Merry Lynn Kiger, both of Wilmington, grandchildren Denise, Jesse, Justin, Jonathan and Jessica, great grandchildren Anthony and Alex; sisters Bobbie Horrell of Ivanhoe and Gladys Underwood (Hubert) of MS; brothers David Dempsey Harrell (Emily) of Atkinson and John Edward Harrell of MS and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 11AM, Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Woodcock Cemetery, Atkinson with the Reverend Carey Horrell, Jr officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-5 on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Milton was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed the simple things in life but his greatest joy was family. Loving the outdoors, Milton enjoyed gardening and selling produce. Milton's family is grateful to God for his life and for your friendship and prayers.
