Monty Dale
Tyler
Nov 27, 1952 — Jul 10, 2022
Monty Dale Tyler, 69, of Burgaw passed peacefully from his earthly life Sunday, July 10, 2022 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born November 27, 1952 in Loris, SC, the son of David Carl Tyler, Sr. and Juanita Watson Tyler. In addition to his parents Dale was preceded in death by his first wife, Nora Jean Tyler.
Dale is survived by his wife of 24 years, Rhonda Tyler; sons, Christopher Tyler and Craig Tyler; daughters, Kerry Donaldson (Joe), Joie McLeod (Mac), Michelle Sholar (Frank Tuss), and Tammy Contreras; sixteen grandchildren; one great grandson; sister, Judy Roberts (Bobby); brother, David Tyler (Sue); and many extended family members, all who loved Dale.
For many years Dale worked at General Electric in the Nuclear Fuel Division.
Dale was a compassionate man with a big heart, always available to help others. If something needed fixing, Dale could and did fix it. His passion was classic old cars which he enjoyed tinkering on. Most of all Dale was a devoted husband, outstanding daddy, and granddaddy who dearly loved his family. His grandchildren who affectionately called him Pa were the sunshine in his life. Dale was loved and his presence in our lives will surely be missed.
