What a blessed and Christian life Myrtle lived as she was a shining example to family and friends. For 39 years she taught elementary school, 37 years in NC and two years in SC. Her benevolent spirit reached beyond her membership to Cora's Grove P.F.W.B. Church. She was founder of P.F.W.B. Crusader Youth Camp, served on several committees of the P.F.W.B. Conference and also served on the Missions Board and Bible College Board. In her local church she taught Sunday school, was director of Girls and Ladies Auxiliary, and served as youth director and choir director.
Not only was Myrtle a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, but a generous and supportive friend to many. She loved being outdoors in God's beautiful nature working in her garden. Myrtle was known for her wisdom, thoughtfulness, generosity, and humility, and for her great devotion to her family, loyalty to friends and faithful service to her church and community.
